Macey is a 9 year old girl who is in the 4th grade and is from Cape May County. She is a very outgoing, funny and rambunctious young lady. The type of kid you love being around as her good mood and beautiful smile is very contagious... Plain and simple - a joy to be around.
To the shock of her family and friends it was learned that Macey has AML a form of Leukemia that requires her to undergo a very aggressive chemotherapy treatment to battle this cancer. As of Easter Sunday she completed her chemo sessions, underwent radiation, received a stem cell transplant from her sister Melissa and will be recovering at home for the next 9 months... Everyone is very proud of her and her courage is well beyond her age.
Three Cheers for Macey

JULY UPDATE
We don't know what they put in Macey's Chemo, but we know one thing for sure, it included some Justin Bieber Mojo! Macey digs Justin as she has his shirts, cd's, photos and over 60 posters of him lining her room! And the best news of all... Macey is out of the hospital, living back at home. Though she has to travel to Children's Hospital (two hours away) for blood work and PT once or twice a week.
BUT!!!! Macey has been given the OK to hang with some of her friends on a limited basis! Which makes her very happy!
The following video might be the most heartwarming and moving 1 minute and 27 seconds that I have ever taped. The courage of Macey is summed up in this video as she explain her beads of life. Which, by the way, was done as she was receiving a very powerful dose of Chemo! Macey is one special and incredible young women! .... John Lynch!
